A team built on preparation, curiosity, and heart.
Troy Speech & Debate is a student-led program at Troy High School where novices become nationally competitive speakers. We meet Wednesdays at lunch in Room 526 and practice twice a week.
Our Mission
To empower every Troy student to speak persuasively, research rigorously, and listen generously — building advocates who can change minds.
Our Program
We field competitors in Original Oratory, Impromptu, Extemp, Lincoln-Douglas, Public Forum, Congress, and Parliamentary debate.
Our Practices
Speech practice runs Thursday after school; combined speech and debate practice runs Friday after school in Room 526.
Our Culture
Upperclassmen coach novices, captains run drills, and no one goes to their first tournament unprepared.
